Installing pathworks on the server alone is not enough.KIs wrong. You only need to install PATHWORKS software on the client if youKplan to use client based licensing, a more complex scheme intended for moreJcomplex environemtns, specifically when client PCs plan to access multipleKdifferent OpenVMS Servers. You've got one client and one server, lets keepGit simple and use server based licensing. Do NOT configure the license<server, do NOT install any PATHWORKS software on the client.GNext basic - You did a VMSINSTAL to install the server and hopefully anJ@SYS$UPDATE:PWRK$CONFIG.COM to configure your file server, right? At thatGtime, hopefully you did things like give it a domain name, and also andFadministrator password. Then, hopefully you started the server, rightH(@SYS$STARTUP:PWRK$STARTUP.COM)? Give it some time (a few minutes) thenLcheck to see if its started (@SYS$MANAGER:PWRK$SHOWSYS.COM), post the outputhere if you aren't sure.HAssuming its running, then type ADMINISTER, and then LOGIN ADMINISTRATORHpassword - Hopefully ther server validates your login. This is the CLIJtool you can use to define users, shares, printers, etc. Also use this to-look at your running domain. Check out HELP.AOK, with this rudimentary stuff, have you gotten any further yet?--
