The device driver itself doesn't care.  C In particular, during process deletion, RWAST can happen in several  places:   G 1)  All file system activity must run down.  If F11XQP can not complete G a request (perhaps because of a record lock), process deletion can pend  with RWAST.   G 2)  Process deletion can pend with RWAST while waiting for subprocesses 
 to delete.  H 3)  If any channel has outstanding I/O, the I/O is $CANCELed. For SAMBA 2.0.3 on OpenVMS, I? think, (but could be mistaken) the guest account is UCX$NOBODY.   F It also appears that users connecting to a SAMBA server can map to theL SYS$MANAGER account and get the same access to it that users do.
