Even DEC SCSI. I most certainly do have a lot of 50-pin SCSI internal cables. 17-02943-01 handles up to 5 internal devices? I quickly put my hands on (2) DEC 17-03459-02 50-pin SCSI cables. These came from some DEC Wintel product that got torn down. In addition to the HBA connector, there are connectors for (4) drives, and another connector with a single-ended SCSI terminator on it. The terminator has DEC part number 12-37791-02. It makes drive setup easier because you don't need to worry about setting termination jumpers on drives. If these will do the job for you, they are $5 apiece plus exact shipping, probably via Priority Mail. If you are local enough to ZIP 01451 (I-495 & MA Rte 2), you can pick them up. I may have some other 50-pin SCSI internal cables with more connectors here, but I'd have to rummage around... For instance, trying to save a page's html as results.php.html results in the file RESULTS_PHP.HTML being created. Also, I tried to subscribe to some newsgroup with a fairly long name as a test, and while it appears to have worked, when you try to access it, nothing happens. Turns out that mozilla fails to create some of the control files because they exceed a certain length. The newsgroup name is roughly 45 to 50 characters long. And I tried with different "long" newsgroup names with the same result. And example of a control file: > USRDIR:[JFMEZEI._MOZILLA.DEFAULT.K9EN0HAR_SLT.NEWS.NEWS2_TEKSAVVY_COM]COMP_OS_VMS.MSF The system disk is ODS5. Is there something which can be done to get Mozilla to make full use of ODS5 capabilities when creating/saving files ? ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 Feb 2007 10:01:10 +0100 From: "Gooijen, Henk" Subject: RE: Strange problem with SimH v3.7 Message-ID: <447524F844B59D48B8F7AE7F560935EE09B3F8CD@OVL-EXBE01.ocevenlo.oce.net> ------_=_NextPart_001_01C7533B.7FE4574E Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hmm, I am running WinXP SP2 and have MinGW installed. Look at TCPIP HELP SYSCONFIG sysconfig is the facility used to tune all the little parameters within the TCP/IP stack, amazingly enough in a similar way as you might in Tru64. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 Feb 2007 13:21:22 -0500 From: JF Mezei Subject: Re: TCPIP Performance Tuning on VMS ? But it doesn't describe each possible parameter, relationship between parameters, and various TCPIP bits such as window scaling, MTU discovery etc. Nor does it explain how to maximise performance between machines of a certain distance (eg: across continent), and what impact on various SYSGEN parameters config changes might have (for instance, increasing the send/recv windows takes memory from where , and how much should be added ?) ------------------------------ Date: 18 Feb 2007 06:15:34 -0800 From: "AEF" Subject: Re: This is what we're up against!
