Re: USB-stick ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: 16 Jan 2008 13:17:24 +0100 From: peter@langstoeger.at (Peter 'EPLAN' LANGSTOeGER) Subject: CC in VMSmail Message-ID: <478e03e4@news.langstoeger.at> I'd like to ask what people (means you) usually do to get a CC address into a mail send by a (batch) procedure. As you surely all know (but maybe already forgot ;-), "$ MAIL file recipient" has "/SUBJECT" and "/[NO]SELF" and some more but unfortunately still no "/CC" qualifier. Do you usually use the construct $ MAIL SEND/CC/NOEDIT file recipient cc-recipient EXIT in (on-the-fly written) DCL procedures (or use logicals for file/recipient/cc to not write DCL-proc on-the-fly) or use add-on-products (SFF, Perl, ...)? In other words, what is the best way for CC (and therefore you all use it ;-)? TIA -EPLAN PS: I know of TCPIP$SMTP_FROM. But that doesn't help here of course. PPS: What do you do for BCC then? Not use VMSmail at all (and rely on direct sending to TCP port 25)? You can probably even get physical access to my machine and then the passwords are worthless. And yes, if you found my wallet, you'd just find a 3"x3" square of paper with some random letter written on it. However, now that I have given away my secret, I'm now at risk from all you COV readers trying to pick-pocket me. Loose lips sink ships. No matter, VMS Bootcamp this year is actually scheduled a month _after_ Pickpocket Bootcamp. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 16 Jan 2008 08:44:26 +0100 From: "Ferry Bolhar" Subject: Re: USB-stick Message-ID: <1200469468.438357@proxy.dienste.wien.at> Christoph Gartmann: >> is it possible to mount a FAT formatted 1 GB USB-stick under OpenVMS 8.3? >> The device is recognized as DNA1: but I can't figure out how to mount it Have you tried EXCHANGE MOUNT?
