The latest version has been enlarged. I got it from http://vmspython.dyndns.org/DownloadAndInstallationPython. The files are JFPLIB0002.DSK;1 JFPPY0011.DSK;1 Nevertheless, it seems to work for what I want to do. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 14 Jun 2008 07:43:55 -0700 (PDT) From: Galen Subject: Re: What happened to VAXeln after DEC stopped selling it ? Specifically, in Windows you can search these files with the first search appending an index to the end of the file. The Windows help system can then use the index to find content in the file. With an HTML file, the index would have to be in a second file. However, what was in the miniscule hardware manual was not worth the time to open let alone index. It was akin to the sheet that one would find with a new piece of stereo equipment graphically showing how to plug the line outs into the line ins. The piece of equipment in question here is a 24bit high-speed PCM encoder, so that analogy is most fitting. -- VAXman- A Bored Certified VMS Kernel Mode Hacker VAXman(at)TMESIS(dot)COM "Well my son, life is like a beanstalk, isn't it?" http://tmesis.com/drat.html ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 14 Jun 2008 10:45:28 -0400 From: "Richard B. There are many free print-to-PDF type of applications out there for Windows. I'm sure that there are others for other operating systems. A Google search for "print to pdf" will help you find them. OpenOffice also exports to PDF (I've used this on Linux) as does the current version of Microsoft Office. Editing PDFs is harder but generating them has been pretty much free for many years. .../Ed -- Ed Wilts, Mounds View, MN, USA RHCE, BCFP, BCSD, SCSP, SCSE mailto:ewilts@ewilts.org ------------------------------ End of INFO-VAX 2008.331 ************************
