Is it possible that you have a logical named IP_ALLOW? I've tested the very same setup on an OpenVMS Alpha V8.3 system and it works flawlessly. Neither on V7.2 nor on V8.3 there is a logical name like IP_ALLOW, so I'm beginning to think that I've found a little bug in OpenVMS Alpha V7.2. As soon as possible I'll try again the same setup on another V7.2 Alpha, maybe with no patches installed. I'm just so curious to see what will happen... Other suggestions? Thank you to everyone, G. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 22 Jul 2008 00:32:48 -0700 (PDT) From: AEF Subject: Re: F$CVTIME inconsistency after all those years Message-ID: <4cc08dd6-dd6b-4d00-95d0-3b70080461e0@8g2000hse.googlegroups.com> On Jul 21, 4:19 pm, AEF wrote: > On Jul 21, 9:02 am, "David P. What I was trying to show is that $ WAIT dd-MMM-yyyy hh:mm:ss works and I got tired checking the time and then quickly typing in a time that's a short amount of time later, so I came up with this trick. (It was long day.) Anyway, some caveats: You have to include the seconds field. If you omit the year you must supply the second hyphen. There may be some other caveats like that. Perhaps that's why this is undocumented and therefore unsupported. What does this have to do with the original question? Not much, except that the documentation for WAIT is wrong. Contrary to said documentation, you CAN use a leading colon (but only if it's immediately followed by another colon). You can also give commands like $ WAIT 0 0:0:01! And it appears that the period is NOT required. Yeah, it's a screwy command; apparently the VMS developers didn't have much time to work on this one. Also, I noticed that the User's manual gives incorrect examples for delta time. They include a leading plus sign, which means it's a combination time, no? This is why I got confused about delta-time format in my early days as a DCL user. It turns out that Bill Hewlett and David Packard were way cooler technophiles that I ever imagined. And although the date isn't given, HP considered buying DEC in the 1960s but the price was too high which is why they decided to build their own computers. p.s. When I attended college, we had both a DEC PDP-12 as well as an HP-3000. At that time, the PDP was used to teach computer concepts to the technical students which included machine language programming from the front console, and macro assembler programming via macro assembler (programs were saved to DECtape). The HP was used to teach high level languages like COBOL, FORTRAN, and BASIC. Fond memories. And if this is the same Tom Perkins that was on 60 Minutes earlier this year, I found him to be arrogant and disdainful while sitting on his mega-million $$ yacht with the interviewer. I now understand he's getting rid of this toy. I guess he tired of it. I tired of him while watching the interview. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 22 Jul 2008 05:31:10 -0700 (PDT) From: Nick101 <1sapmate@googlemail.com> Subject: SAP Front End Installation Release 7.10, 6.40, 6.20 Message-ID: SAP IDES INSTALLATION We can provide installation service for any type of following SAP IDES \ NON IDES System in your stand alone home Laptop & Desktop, Server and external USB Hard discs for one or combinations of following SAP systems SAP R\3 4.7 EE, SAP ECC 5.0, SAP ECC 6.0 SAP CRM 5.0, SCM 5.0, SAP SRM 5.0, SAP BI 7.0, SAP SEM 6.0, SAP BW 3.1, IS- Utilities IS- Retail IS- Oil IS- Media IS- Healthcare Solution Manager SAP Netweaver 7.0 (EP 7.0,PI 7.0,BI 7.0, Mobile Infrastructure) SAP Netweaver 2004s both SR2 & SR1 SAP Netweaver 2004 SAP Middleware Connections for ECC,CRM,APO,BW All R\3 systems comes with these core modules SAP HR (Human Resource) SAP FI CO (Finance & Controlling) SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) SAP MM (Materials Management ) SAP PP (Production Planning) We believe in 100 % CUSTOMER SATISFACTION and are dedicated to provide not only QUICK High Quality Service but lot of other intangible benefits and are NOT in just money making business like any TOM, DICK and HARRY so it is ALWAYS WORTH to have one telephonic discussion with our expert advisor before you decide to opt "Cheap Service Provider".
