	A tip for those running ANU NEWS (V5.7) with DECUS UUCP.  My little
VS2000 was taking longer to process news than it was to transfer it (2400),
and sometimes taking 18-23 hours for a days worth.  The problem was with
lots of disk I/O.  Part of the disk I/O that isn't needed for news processing
is the NEWRC maintainence by NEWSMGR (batch only on my system).  I put the
line "$ DEFINE/JOB NEWSRC NL:" in the LOGIN.COM for NEWSMGR and cut down my
elapsed processing time (not sure excatly how much, but NEWSMGR elapsed is
definitely less than UUCICO time!).
