There are ways to specify the default location for a > DECterm window, but only if you start the window from a DCL > command, NOT from the Applications menu on the Session Manager. .-. |I| haven't seen it documented anywhere, but I've managed to make `-' my DECterm windows go where I want them by putting these lines into SYS$LOGIN:DECW$XDEFAULTS.DAT: DECW$TERMINAL.x: 140 DECW$TERMINAL.y: 0 They work if you put them in the DECW$TERMINAL_DEFAULT.DAT file, too, but they'll vanish if you alter that file via the pull-down "Customize" menu. DECW$XDEFAULTS.DAT is a much better bet. (If you don't have that file, just create one.) <_Jym_>
