To make a long story short, I didn't convert gnu_diff enough and it gags real bad when comparing two cr-lf files or a stream-lf file to a cr-lf file. It does nothing that the user sees but just gets confused and stores the wrong stuff for delta info. I have used microemacs on the vax and it makes stream files, so my testing never uncovered it. How should we disseminate this info to DECUS. On the technical end, I need to find a way that gnu_diff and all the other programs can work on stream-lf OR cr-lf files. I'd appreciate your counsel on this pressing issue. At this time, my name is mud, or soon will be mud. cheers, rich
