It was a simple matter of replacing 2 read()'s with fread()'s in io.c in slurp(). The VMS/VAX C manual sez that read() fails with record type files. 2. UVA has agreed to be an ftp site for vms/rcs!! It will be on a unix machine so I have to figure out how to move a saveset from work to the pc at home to the unix box at uva. Any canned advise?? 3. The unix rcs developers have contacted me and want to slowly work vms into one of their o/s's. My job will be reduced to being a beta tester. By the weekend, I will have a news release for you to post to comp.os.vms or I will get permission to post myself!! cheers, rich
