I have been able to compile g++ and libg++ on the DECstation (both 1.39.0). There have been problems. Things that I remember that I had to do are: config for ``dec-3100'' I compiled everything with no -g make a symbolic link to the file ``va-mips.h'' from gcc-1.39 since it seemed to be missing I didn't understand what to do with an undefined function in the file ``aux-output'' named ``debug_output''. So I just uncommented this line (it didn't seem to be very importend to me). For the target ``collect'' I removed -lg For libg++, I got instructions from thomas@bach.cs.byu.edu. Btw, he also has provided a set of instructions on how to bring up the OSF based versions of gcc/g++ (roughly 1.37) up and running. regards, hermann hueni@iam.unibe.ch
