The solution to my problem was graciously provided by Ken Adelman from TGV (yes we're using Multinet): On the UNIX machine: FTP> binary FTP> quote structure o vms FTP> get filename On the VMS machine: FTP> binary FTP> local structure vms FTP> get filename Hope this helps you...
