This area contains the latest VDdriver for Alpha VMS.
It is reissued because of an omission in prior copies.

VDdriver allows a contiguous file or a bunch of logical
blocks to be treated as a separate disk. Note that neither
asnvd nor vddriver sends packack to start the underlying
disk. A simple program sendpackack which can do this
is also enclosed. Mounting the drive /sys/foreign will
do it too.
