The easiest method of payment is with Visa. Standard Support includes: Email advice on installation configuration and management. New versions of the software during the supported period. This level of support is recommended when you have some technical expertise in house but do not have years of experience running news software. Response will vary depending on your timezone but in general all messages are responded to by the next working day. Priority Support includes: Standard support plus direct telnet support on your machine if/when requested. In addition your problems will be given priority when multiple fault calls are waiting. This level of support is recommended for commercial customers who cannot afford any down time. Basically with this support, we drop what we are doing and work on your problem. In future support may be moved from NetWin to a nominated company specializing in this service. License life time The license to continue using your version of the software does not expire with your support contract. However if you wish to run new versions after the 1 year period then you must purchase a new license or take up a support contract. Source Source is available, but for commercial reasons we require a statement of non-competition and non re-distribution before making it available. We appologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Source is made available to make the following possible. 1) Customers to port to various unix platforms 2) Checking for virus'es etc 3) Enhancements and bug fixing by technically inclined customers. A statement as described above should be emailed to netwin@world.std.com, together with a full physical address and other relevant details including company name, personal name, fax and phone numbers. Porting We will port to any unix'ish platform on request for a fee, however porting is usually fairly trivial and we are happy to give advice to anyone attempting this on their own. Please send us any changes you make and we will include these changes in future releases to save yourself and others more work. How to register? Open DOS Window (or from shell prompt) tellnews register This will ask a few questions and then create a file REGISTER.TXT which you then email to: netwin@world.std.com You will recieve an email reply confirming your registration or license or support contract depending on which options you selected. The confirmation will also include your registration key which will disable the registration reminder notices. If your key was ax343acd3, then to enter it you would type: $ tellnews key ax343acd3 We require payment before issuing a permanent license key.
