This is SAMBA for VMS. Ported to VMS by Eckart Meyer <meyer@ifn.ing.tu-bs.de>
Executables for VAX and Alpha of the UNZIP program can be found one
directory up. Read the file README.VMS.

NOTE: This is the first published version of the samba port. It has not
been widely tested and will probably contain many bugs. Don't expect
everything to work. This release is primary for people who want to
do testing. Please send bug fixes and suggestions to the address above.

The nameserver NMBD is not yet working. I didn't even try to find out why
since Andrew told me the code is still changing.

	The full original samba kit with VMS changes. Use this archive
	to build SAMBA for VMS from source.

SAMBA-1_9_16ALPHA8-VMS1-BIN_ALPHA_UCX.ZIP

	Binaries for VMS Alpha V6 and higher with UCX V3.3 and higher.
	Plus all documentation and examples.
	Extract to an empty directory and type @LINK and @INSTALL.
