The new phil-sec list is intended for discussion of the Philosophy of
Computer Security. Involved in this pursuit are topics such as

	- a formal definition of Computer Security, 

	- authentication and verification methodology,

	- applications of encryption,

	- implications of civil government policy on efforts at computer 
	security,

	- presentation and analysis of new trends in computer security, and

	- other topics as the study evolves.

phil-sec is unmoderated, and open to all interested subscribers. Questions
about the list should be directed to owner-phil-sec@datasys.net.
