[Image] The NSS-FIST Cracker Tools Archive The NSS Front-line Information Security Team (FIST) have created an archive of popular public cracker tools, they can be used effectively in a security auditing situation to identify key vulnerabilities and security risks. Network Scanning Tools ADMhack is a Linux-based network scanner developed by ADM, a group based in Europe. ADMhack is extremely powerful and fast, it can be downloaded from here. ADMhack binaries are only available, so run at your own risk. ADMscan and z0ne are Linux-based network mapping tools written by ADM for use with ADMhack and their other tools, ADMscan and z0ne are available from the NSS-FIST ADM mirror here. Mscan is also a Linux-based network scanner (although source is included so porting isn't difficult). Mscan is considerably less powerful than ADMhack, but doesn't require to be run as root. Mscan can be downloaded from here Nmap is a massively comprehensive portscanner that supports all known portscanning types, it is very useful for testing packet filtering systems and networks. Nmap 2.00 can be downloaded from here. Pscan is a simple TCP and UDP portscanner which has added functionality to retrieve NIS maps and dump RPC service listings, the source for pscan is very portable and available here. Brute-Force Cracking Tools ADMpop is a very powerful POP3 brute-force program developed by ADM, the source code is available here. ADMsmb is a Samba/NetBIOS brute-force share password cracking program developed by ADM, the package is available here. Other miscellaneous tools such as hunt, strobe and netcat may be found by browsing the tools archive manually. © 1998 Network Security Solutions Ltd. All rights reserved. All trademarks acknowledged.
