      The current (alpha) version of Nessus may badly harm your
      computer for the following reasons (everything is being 
      worked on) :
      
      
      - The data sent between the server and the client is *not* 
        crypted, thus it may be sniffed by third parties.
        
      - nessusd is a server that launches attacks against a given
        network. This means that is someone sniffs your password, 
        he may force your computer to attack someone's else 
        network, thus giving you a lot of troubles
        
     So : 
     
      - you should NOT run nessusd as root. The problem is that some
        attacks needs uid 0 (especially some DoS), so, well... it's up
        to you : either you take the risk, either your attacks will be
        less efficient...
      
      - you should NOT try to compile Nessus as root, since
        there may be problems with my scripts
        
        
  	Also, if you receive a plugin from a third-party, you should
  	look at its code very carefully, since it's very easy to write
  	a trojan plugin
