Now released: a nessusd Java client fully compatible with Nessus and NTP
1.0 (Nessus Transfer Protocol being used by nessus). You may download it
here. Please note that this program won't run nor compile with JDK under
1.1 You're welcome to report bugs or comments/ideas in the nessus mailing
list or at the following adress: alexisb@mygale.org.

I have released NessusJ, a Java client for Nessus. If you could not compile
the standard Nessus client because of GTK or anything else, you might be
able to use Nessus thanks to NessusJ.

Compatibility :

This version is just alpha, but is already fully compatible with the
standard nessus client ( even for the report format and soon, the prefs
file format) and with the Nessus Transfert Protocol version 1.0 (the
version which is currently used by nessusd).

The GUI is very near the one of nessus (there's a bit of work) but i'm
quite limited by the possibilities of Java.

Bugs report :

Please, even if you do not feel the need to use a Java-based client, you
should use NessusJ to report me the eventual bugs, so that the product can
gain in maturity quickly.

If you have any OS with a jvm ( Java Virtual Machine) please try it and
tell me what goes wrong.

Note :

You need at least JDK 1.1.1 to compile and/or run NessusJ.
