The terse disappearing batch job dept
 The Question is:

Sometimes entries in batch queues are lost after reboot (state hold or hold
 until ...)
we don't know on which cause this happens. Do you have any ideas

 The Answer is :

This would imply a configuraiton problem or a database corruption,
this could e activity of local application software, or could be
an OpenVMS software problem -- please apply the available ECO kits
for OpenVMS (particularly the mandatory kits) and please then
contact the support center if the problem persists. You will
likely be asked to assist in characterizing the trigger(s) that
  cause the job(s) to disappear.

The information available here is insufficient for the OpenVMS
Wizard to even hazard a guess -- beyond the request to apply
current ECOs to the system, and beyond requesting consideration
of an upgrade to an OpenVMS release with support.

For additional troubleshooting-related informaton, the DCL command
SET QUEUE /RETAIN=ERROR queue-name may provide additional details
on the cause of the problem. Also remember to examine auditing
and accounting logs around the time of the particular incident.
