Description: Histo-Scope is a tool for selecting and displaying histogram
   n-tuple data from a program as data is being created or analyzed. It
   produces plots that users can scale, zoom, pan, 3D-rotate, rebin, and
   animate using the workstation mouse. To make data available to Histo-
   Scope, users insert calls to Histo-Scope library routines in their
   existing programs (HBOOK users can make all of their data available
   with four calls). Histo-Scope can also open HBOOK and Histo-Scope format
   data files.

   Histo-Scope requires an X-based workstation (VMS, DEC-ULTRIX, SGI, Sun,
   or IBM/Risc) or an X Terminal or X-based workstation that can connect
   to one of these hosts. On VMS systems, Histo-Scope also requires that
   TGV MultiNet be installed.

Usage: If you have used telnet or rlogin to access the host VMS system,
   you need to set the display:

       $ SET DISPLAY/CREATE/TRANSPORT=TCPIP/NODE=xterm1

   Next, set up and run Histo-Scope:

       $ SETUP HISTO
       $ HISTOSCOPE

Rebuilding the Histo-Scope executable: If you find that running the
   Histo-Scope executable (HISTO_DIR:HISTO.EXE) gives you an error message
   complaining of shareable image version mis-matches, you can rebuild
   Histo-Scope by copying HISTO_ROOT:[REBUILD_HISTO]*.* or just SET DEFAULT
   to this directory.  Then type:

   	$ @HISTO_DIR:GENERATE

   which will re-build HISTO.EXE, which can be copied or re-named to the
   HISTO_DIR directory.

For more information see the Histo-Scope V3.1 User's Guide (SP0034) in the
Computing Division Library. A PostScript file of the manual can be found
in HISTO_ROOT:[DOC]HISTO_USERS_GUIDE.PS.
