PATHWORKS V5.0 for DOS & Windows Demo - V1.02
Developed by Tom Robert - NOS Marketing Programs,

This is a stand alone interactive demonstration about Digital's
PATHWORKS family of personal computing integration products,
highlighting Digital's new PATHWORKS V5.0 for DOS & Windows.
(only the Windows version of the applications are shown in this demo)

This demo does not require PATHWORKS or any networking software to be
present in order to run.

The demo should run on any system running Windows 3.1 or later,
including monochrome systems - such as laptops. However, I recommend
running the demo with color. I also recommend using a 486 or better
CPU with at least 4MB memory.

It looks best when run at a screen resolution of 640x480 (standard VGA)
with either 16 or 256 colors. Using 256 colors will yield better looking
visuals but may slow performance.

Installation Instructions:

Simply run INSTALL.EXE off of the floppy from Windows:

    Using the File Manager:

Click on the icon for the A: drive
Double click on the install.exe file

    or Using the Program Manager:

Select Run... from the File pull-down menu
      Type A:\INSTALL <Enter>

(If you put the diskette in the B: drive, simply substitute B: for A:)

The installation procedure will ask for the drive and directory where
you would like to install the demo. (the default is C:\DEMOS)
To accept the default answers for the questions simply click on the OK
button or hit <Enter>.

You will need slightly over 4MB of disk space for the demo.
After installing the files, the installation procedure will automatically
create a Windows program group called Demos, if it doesn't already exist,
and will then add the icons to start the demo and to view this file.
To run the demo, simply double-click on the demo icon.

NOTE ON NETWORK INSTALLATIONS:

Although technically this demo can be installed over a network, I do not
recommend it at this time due to a limitation with the installation
  program being used.

NOTE ABOUT TEMPORARY DISK SPACE:

The presentation application uses temporary disk space when it loads and
runs the demo. It uses the drive and directory pointed to by your TEMP
variable which is usually defined in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file. If you are
low on disk space where the TEMP variable points, you may encounter the
error "Not enough temporary disk space" when you run the demo. If this
happens, you must either free up disk space on the drive where TEMP points
to or you must redefine the TEMP variable to point to another disk that
  has more available space.

Start/Control Instructions:

If you started the demo according to the instructions above, then the
presentation will start playing in full screen mode automatically.
(Note that if your screen resolution is greater than 640x480, the demo
will still only occupy the center 640x480 portion of the screen)

First you will see the Player application appear, and shortly afterwards
it will start to load and then play the presentation. It may take a few
mintues total time, so be patient, don't immediately start to point and
click the mouse.

You may pause and resume the demo at any time by hitting the spacebar.

To Stop the presentation at any time, just hit the Escape key <Esc>.
This will stop the presentation, but it will not exit you from the
player application. To exit completely, choose Exit from the File menu.
Or to restart the demo, choose Play Presentation from the Control menu.
