Okay here are the highlights

I use the version  pcmcia-cs-3.0.14.tar.gz

Compiles mostly out of the box I had to reconfigure one header file in
the kernel to include
the correct information for my LX164 board.

Then make SURE you restrict the IRQ list or it WILL hang your machine
