After witnessing the following typo (person concerned meant to enter
TYPE), I can only assume that C strings ?, have made a bigger
impression into OpenVMS than I thought - The following DCL command
BUGCHECKS the machine.

$ stop MASTER_TAPIAB_RESET$20400EB7.LOG

27-Oct-1999 17:02:32
27-Oct-1999 17:02:32
27-Oct-1999 17:02:32  **** OpenVMS (TM) Alpha Operating System V7.2-1
- BUGCHECK ****
27-Oct-1999 17:02:48
27-Oct-1999 17:02:48  ** Bugcheck code = 000003C4: SSRVEXCEPT,
Unexpected system service exception
27-Oct-1999 17:02:48  ** Crash CPU: 01    Primary CPU: 00    Active
CPUs: 00000003

At first our sys admin did NOT believe it, and i dont blame
them, because i dont think i believed it either, but they also
managed to bugcheck the same machine. At first they tried something
along the lines of

$ stop CLUE$STARTUP_NJDEV2.LOG

but nothing happened, so they inserted a bunch of 0's, five probably

$ stop CLUE$STARTUP_NJDEV200000.LOG

and WHAM, BUGCHECK

We then wondered if it was perhaps our ES40, but alas no, the
same STOP longfilename, also bugchecked a 4100.

Bottom line, havn't worked out the exact proc name length
OpenVMS is barfing on, but in the region of the high 20's

All machines are running V7.2-1
